Description
ChiaoGoo rubber grippers are heart-shaped rubber pads that give your fingers a firm hold on an interchangeable tip while you tighten it onto a cable. Wrap the gripper around the tip with its grippier back side against the metal, and use it together with the tightening key.
Each package holds two grippers.
How to Use a Gripper
- Insert the tightening key into the lifeline hole in the metal join at the end of the cable.
- Wrap the gripper around the tip, back side against the tip.
- Hold the key in one hand and turn the tip with the gripper in the other until the join is snug.

Tightening keys hold the cable while the gripper turns the tip. Cable connectors join two cables into one longer cable, and end stoppers hold your stitches on the cable when you take the tips off. Is a gripper in my ChiaoGoo set?
Every ChiaoGoo knitting set includes one heart-shaped gripper. Earlier TWIST Complete, Small, and Large sets shipped without one, so a pack of two adds grippers to an older set.
Do I still need the key?
Yes. The gripper turns the tip and the key holds the cable join, and ChiaoGoo recommends the key every time a tip goes on a cable. The guide to keeping your ChiaoGoo tips secure shows each step.

Warranty Information
ChiaoGoo's lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects for the expected life of the product under normal use. Smartisans is an authorized ChiaoGoo dealer, so the warranty covers your purchase.
ChiaoGoo does not cover normal wear and tear, accidents, or misuse.

Oversized, bulky, and fragile items do not qualify for free shipping, but we’ll discount shipping on those items when your order totals more than $35.

It depends on where you are. Your chosen shipping method will dictate how quickly you receive your order. We typically ship orders within one to two business days, depending on what time the orders are placed.
If you select free or flat rate shipping, items typically arrive between 5-7 business days but there are always edge cases where your item may arrive sooner or later than that window.
Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email. If you do not receive a tracking number within two business days of your purchase, please check your spam folder in your email. If you still do not see a tracking number, call or email us to inquire further.
