- Coordinating fabric (zipper strips, inner pocket and divider, stabilizer sleeve, handles, bindings): ⅞ yard / 1 yard
- Sturdy base fabric such as vinyl, canvas, or cork: 10" x 18" / 9" x 20"
- ByAnnie's Soft and Stable (58" wide): ½ yard / ¾ yard (one 18in x 58in for the small tote, one 36in x 58in for the medium)
- Fusible interfacing: ⅜ yard / ½ yard (e.g. Shape-Flex Fusible Woven Interfacing)
- Handbag zipper (YKK #4.5): enough ByAnnie's Zippers by the Yard tape and two pulls for a 19" (23") zipper closure and a 10" (12") outer combo pocket. The small tote uses two 24" single-slide zippers or one 30" double-slide; the medium uses two 24" single-slide or one 40" double-slide.
