Description
This pattern makes a zipper-top bag in two sizes, both 13 inches wide and 9 inches deep: the larger is 12 inches tall and the smaller is 9. The bag has several pockets inside, and it opens wide and stays open. The pattern includes two pre-bent stainless steel stays, which slide into a channel at the top of the bag and keep it in shape.
What the Pattern Includes
The printed pattern and two pre-bent Size D stainless steel stays with protective plastic tips, enough for one bag. The directions cover non-directional prints and give cutting sizes for directional prints. This listing does not include fabric, interfacing, zipper, tubing, or thread.
For a second bag, or to replace the stays in a finished one, the Size D bag stays (AT642) come in a 2-pack.

- Bag body interfacing: Bosal In-R-Form Plus, 24 x 58 inches; the 58 x 36 inch package covers it
- Bottom: 1/2 yard of stiff double-sided fusible interfacing, 20 inches wide (Bosal Craf-Tex Plus or Pellon 72F), or Bosal's precut Small Camden Bag Bottoms

Fit and Limits
The pattern makes two heights of one bag, 13 x 9 inches at the base. Aunties Two publishes three other Poppins patterns, each with its own stays: the Giant Poppins Bag (24 inches wide, 12 deep, and 20 tall), the Poppins Bag (18 inches wide, 12 deep, and 14 tall), and the Mini Poppins Bag (9 inches wide and 7 deep, in 7 or 5 inch heights).
Aunties Two does not publish a skill level. The construction includes double-sided fusible foam interfacing in the bag body, a 24 inch double-slide zipper, 1/4 inch plumbing tubing in the handles, and hand sewing with 12 weight thread, and the tool list calls for a walking foot. Aunties Two posts free video tutorials for the pockets, the side seam, the top binding and zipper, inserting the stays, the bottom, and strengthening the handles.
