Description
This pattern makes a big zipper-top bag, 24 inches wide, 12 inches deep, and 20 inches tall, with six pockets inside. It is large enough to hold a large sewing machine, and Aunties Two recommends it for scenic fabric panels. The pattern includes two stainless steel stays, which slide into a channel at the top of the bag and give it strength and shape.
What the Pattern Includes
The printed pattern and two Size A stainless steel stays with protective plastic tips, enough for one bag. The directions cover non-directional prints, and the pattern gives layouts and fabric changes for directional prints and panels. This listing does not include fabric, interfacing, zipper, or thread.
For a second bag, or to replace the stays in a finished one, the Size A bag stays (AT646) come in a 2-pack.

- Outside, inside pockets, pocket lining, and side binding: 2 yards of non-directional fabric with 42 inches of usable width
- Directional prints and panels: enough fabric to cut two rectangles 21 inches tall by 34 inches wide; fussy cutting a panel may take two panels

- Bag body interfacing: 2 yards of Bosal In-R-Form Plus, a double-sided fusible foam batting (two 58 x 36 inch packages)

Fit and Limits
The pattern makes one size, 24 x 12 x 20 inches. Aunties Two publishes three smaller Poppins patterns, each with its own stays: the Poppins Bag (18 inches wide, 12 deep, and 14 tall), the Little Poppins Bag (13 inches wide and 9 deep, in 12 or 9 inch heights), and the Mini Poppins Bag (9 inches wide and 7 deep, in 7 or 5 inch heights).
Aunties Two does not publish a skill level. The construction includes double-sided fusible foam batting in the bag body, a 36 inch double-slide zipper, and a bottom you sew on by machine, and the tool list calls for a sewing machine with a free arm. Aunties Two posts free video tutorials for the pockets, the handles, the side seam, the zipper and top binding, and the bottom.
