Description
Round the corners of a quilt at a 1 1/2, 2, or 3 inch radius with one 6 inch square template. Three of its corners are curves, and a printed label gives the radius of each. You mark the curve on each corner of the quilt top, then cut along the same curve after quilting.

How to Use It
Measure the width of the outer border and choose a curve no larger than that width. A 2 inch border takes the 2 inch or the 1 1/2 inch curve, and a 6 inch border can take the 3 inch curve. Lay the tool on a corner of the quilt top with the chosen curve at the corner and the straight sides of the tool on the straight sides of the quilt. Where you can, set the grid lines on the inner edges of the border strips to square the tool on the quilt.
Draw the curve on each corner with a marking tool, and leave the corners uncut while you quilt. When the quilting is complete, set the tool back on each corner and cut along the curve with a rotary cutter. Cut the binding strips on the bias so they stretch around the curves. You can also draw along a curve to mark quilting designs. A QR code on the tool links to the demonstration video.

Fit and Limits
The tool has three curves: 1 1/2, 2, and 3 inch radius. Each is a quarter of a 3, 4, or 6 inch circle. The fourth corner is square. The lines are all black: a 1 inch grid with 1/4 inch tick marks, plus two lines at a right angle and one diagonal for each curve, with no degree numbers. Creative Grids says the tool can also mark and cut scalloped borders, and the instructions give no method for it. The Scallop Template has three scallop sizes and a full method. For 4 and 5 inch radius corners, use the Round Up Tool.
