I love my ChiaoGoo needles! They have a lifetime warranty and Smartisans is my favorite place to get them. They ship quickly and the price is the cheapest around.
I own multiple sets of interchangeable needles, but the only ones I use are Chiagoo. I started with bamboo, but the tips wore out and hurt my fingers and had to be replaced. Lykke was next; better than bamboo, but the tips still wore out. When I saw Chiagoo, I knew they were the solution. The metal tips have an excellent finish which is comfortable to work with and doesn't wear out, so there's no need to replace them. Yes, they cost more than other options, but these Chiagoo needles are the last ones I will have to buy--except for extra sets because I prefer leaving the needles in an unfinished project rather than removing them.
I was thrilled to get individual sizes rather than a set so I could try to test out few sizes before purchasing the set. The needle itself did feel little heavier than the regular chiaogoo, but I'm a tight knitter but it didn't catch on the yarn where materials joined as some reviews as suggested. This maybe due to the fact that I only tested more slippery summer yarns and it might be different with more hairy yarn. I loved the needle better with red cable than newer silvery cables.
These Forte interchangeable needles are excellently made. I have been using the regular Chiaogoos in every conceivable size and still will. I love them. However, Since the Fortes are different, I have found them to be very useful in expanding what I can do. They have a wonderful feel on the hands while having a slicker tip. The project I am doing with the Fortes has a strand of alpaca worsted and a strand of alpaca lace yarn knit together. These needles have always picked up both strands easily without missing one, ever. No splitting. l love the superb quality of all pieces in the set including the case. You won’t regret getting these needles. Plus they are beautiful.

These needles are exactly like Lantern Moon needles. I always loved my Lantern Moon. but I did not like how their cable always snagged my knitting.
