Side-to-side zippers let each bag open all the way into a tray, so the contents sit in full view instead of buried in a pouch. Snap the sides together and the bag stands on its own. The pattern makes two bag styles, rectangle and square, in three sizes each, plus bonus snap cases sewn from the quilted fabric trimmed away during construction.

What You'll Need
- Main fabric (bag exterior): fat quarter for the rectangle small and medium and the square small; ¾ yard for the rectangle large and the square medium; 1 yard for the square large; snap cases use the quilted fabric left over from the bags
- Lining fabric (bag lining): the same amounts as the main fabric
- Coordinating fabric (bindings, handle, tab): a fat quarter or less per bag, and a fat quarter or less per snap case
- ByAnnie's Soft and Stable, 58 inches wide: per bag, rectangle 13 by 14 inches (S), 17 by 18 inches (M), 21 by 22 inches (L); square 17 by 14 inches (S), 25 by 20 inches (M), 33 by 26 inches (L). All six bags take about 2 yards, two 36in x 58in packages; snap cases use leftover
- Fusible interfacing: 1⅜ by 8 inches per bag, the same for every size (e.g. Shape-Flex Fusible Woven Interfacing); not used for snap cases
- Handbag zippers: one 30 inch double-slide zipper per bag, or one package of ByAnnie's Zippers by the Yard makes all six bags; not used for snap cases
- ByAnnie's Tool-Free Snaps: one set per bag and one set per snap case
