Description
A Foundation Paper Pieced (FPP) expansion that carries pieced design down the sleeves of the Bella Quilt Coat. The pack includes ten foundation patterns in a mix of flying geese and braided block styles: Flying Geese Styles 1 and 2 set the geese into a coordinating fabric that flanks the centered units, with three more geese styles and five braided block styles ready to drop into the coat sleeves. The Bella Quilt Coat pattern is required and sold separately. The cover version is shown in Tula Pink's Floral Reef collection.

What You'll Need
- The Bella Quilt Coat pattern (required, sold separately)
- Main fabrics in a variety of colors and a background fabric; a side-mirrored coordinate accent fabric is used for Flying Geese Styles 1 and 2 only
- Foundation paper or lightweight letter-size paper
- Coordinating thread and Schmetz Microtex 70/10 or 80/12 needles
- Foundation paper piecing tools such as an Add-A-Quarter Plus ruler, a fabric glue pen, a seam roller, a rotary cutter and mat, and optional colored pencils for planning color layout

Ten ready-sized blocks let the sleeves be as understated or as bold as the fabric pull allows, and the same foundations can be mixed and repeated for a custom run down each arm. Because the geese and braids are pre-drafted to fit the Bella sleeve, the design work is in the color choices rather than the math. A working knowledge of FPP is helpful, and basic FPP experience is enough to piece and assemble the blocks.
