These are conventional patchwork projects, rotary-cut and machine-pieced. The Shine On Sampler is the most involved make, assembled from many smaller pieced units, while the coordinating projects are more straightforward. A rotary cutter, mat, and ruler handle the cutting, and the book lists exact fabric requirements for every project, so amounts come from the pattern. The cross stitch companion needs only the usual counted-thread basics: even-weave fabric, embroidery floss, and a tapestry needle.
