Summer Memories gathers a season's worth of makes into one book: pieced quilts alongside counted cross stitch, all drawn from Susan Ache's childhood summers of family reunions, farmers' markets, and days on the water. The quilts run bright and graphic, several in crisp red, white, and blue, and many work as one-color or scrappy stash projects. The cross stitch pieces carry sampler text and small keepsakes.
What the Book Includes
This is the printed pattern book, not a kit or a finished project. Inside are sixteen projects in all, six pieced quilts and a set of cross stitch designs, with cutting and assembly instructions, stitch counts and charts, and full-color photographs throughout. Fabric, floss, batting, backing, and notions are not included.

What You'll Need
The quilts are conventional patchwork: rotary-cut shapes joined with straight seams, friendly to one-color, two-color, and scrappy fabric choices. A rotary cutter, mat, and quilting ruler handle the cutting. The cross stitch pieces are counted work stitched with stranded cotton floss. Yardage and cutting charts for the quilts and stitch counts for the cross stitch are printed in the book.
