Description
Built for cleaning sewing machines, sergers, and cutting mats, the SewClean from Nifty Notions is a cordless handheld vacuum with a brushless motor, 16,500 Pa of suction, a blower mode, and seven snap-on heads. The battery detaches and works as a USB-C power bank, and the whole kit packs into a zippered hard case.
What's Included
The vacuum body with its detachable battery and a protective cover the battery slides into for power-bank use, seven snap-on heads (a slim crevice head, a brush head, and a wide-mouth head for vacuuming; a long nozzle, a precision nozzle, and a wide nozzle for blowing; and a valve head for drawing the air out of vacuum storage bags), a USB-C cable, a printed manual, and a zippered hard-shell case with a fitted foam insert and a mesh pocket.
How to Use It
Charge the battery through the USB-C port on its base; four white lights show the charge. Twist the battery onto the vacuum. Suction heads press onto the front: the slim head reaches the hook race and between feed dogs, the brush lifts lint off tension discs, and the wide-mouth head clears a cutting mat or pressing mat. Blow nozzles press onto the exhaust at the back; for a serger, fit the long nozzle there to push lint out of the looper area, then vacuum it up from the front. The dust cup releases with one button and tips into the trash. The cup, filter, and heads rinse clean in water; the body does not. Nifty Notions recommends a new filter every three months and sells them separately as item NNFILTER.
Off the vacuum, the battery charges a phone or other USB-C device. Its printed rating is 5 to 20 volts at up to 35 watts, which covers phones, earbuds, and most tablets.

Fit and Limits
It is small enough to keep on the sewing table and runs on its own battery, so there is no cord to route around the machine or the foot pedal. The dust cup is sized for lint, thread ends, and fabric dust. It is not a floor vacuum. It picks up dry lint, thread ends, and fabric dust only; the manual rules out liquids, hot ash, and sharp objects.
