Most of the quilt comes from fat eighths and large scraps, so it is a good way to shop the stash first:
- Background: a range of one color from dark to light, in fat eighths or large scraps (roughly 6 to 7 dark, 5 to 6 medium, and 10 to 12 light)
- Scissor blades: three shades of gray, in fat eighths or large scraps (5 dark gray, 5 medium gray, 5 light gray)
