Closed, it's a boxy quilted case about lunch-box size, with a top handle and a buckle strap. Open it and the whole thing unrolls flat: four clear vinyl zip pockets and two slip pockets keep small supplies visible at a glance, while a boxed zip pouch stands up in the center for bulkier items. Fabric choice changes its whole character, from the moody dark floral and mustard of the cover sample to soft dusty rose or bold cobalt.

What the Pattern Includes

This listing is for the printed paper pattern only; fabric, vinyl, stabilizer, zippers, webbing, hardware, and notions are not included. There are no templates to trace. Every piece is cut from the measurements given with a ruler and rotary cutter, and the instructions are in English using inches and yards.

What You'll Need

Non-directional prints work best. Full cutting details are inside the pattern.

  • Main, lining, and accent fabric: 1/2 yard each
  • Foam stabilizer (such as Soft and Stable or Pellon Flexfoam) or batting: one 18" x 40" piece
  • Clear vinyl, 12 or 16 gauge: one 16" x 16" piece
  • Webbing, 1" wide: 1 yard, plus a 1" slider
  • Zippers (nylon or plastic, #3 or #5): three 9", one 12", and one 14"

You'll also want the usual cutting and basting tools: ruler, rotary cutter and mat, marking tool, scissors, binding clips, and safety pins or basting spray.
