Each block is foundation paper pieced: fabric is sewn to a printed foundation directly on marked lines, so sharp angles and skinny points need no templates and no guesswork. Stitch, flip, press, trim, and every angle lands where the designer put it. Once the blocks are done, the rows go together with the trees, stars, and sky filling in around the buildings.
