Pieces are cut from the measurements given with a ruler and rotary cutter, and the instructions are in English using inches.

Each size has its own fabric, stabilizer, and zipper requirements. A #4.5 or #5 zipper is recommended, since the pull is removed and reattached during construction. Always measure your item against the size before cutting.
Small (4" x 8") holds pencils, eyeglasses, or a rotary cutter, up to about 3" x 7". Fat quarter main and lining, fat eighth or 1/8 yard accent, 10" x 12" foam stabilizer or batting, 14" or longer zipper.
Medium (7" x 8 1/2") fits an e-reader, Kindle, or small book, up to about 6" x 7". Fat quarter main and lining, fat eighth or 1/8 yard accent, 16" x 13" foam or batting, 20" or longer zipper.
Large (9" x 12") fits a tablet, standard iPad, or book sleeve, up to about 8" x 10". Fat quarter main and lining, 1/4 yard accent, 21" x 18" foam or batting, 24" or longer zipper.
Extra Large (11" x 13") fits a large tablet or iPad Pro, or a paper notebook, up to about 10" x 11". 2/3 yard main and lining, 1/4 yard accent, 25" x 20" foam or batting, 28" or longer zipper.
You'll also want the usual tools: ruler, rotary cutter and mat, marking tool, pins, scissors, binding clips, and safety pins or basting spray.
