Description
Cut the pieces for a shaped, two-layer fabric face mask in small, medium, or large from one acrylic template. Creative Grids describes the masks as non-medical. The template prints the three cutting lines, a 1/4 inch seam allowance band, pleat marks, and a suggested elastic length for each size.
What's Included

How to Use It
Choose two coordinating quilting cottons, one for the inside of the mask and one for the outside. Press them, then stack four pieces right sides together: two of each fabric. Cut squares of 5 3/4 inches for a small mask, 6 inches for a medium, or 6 1/2 inches for a large. Lay the template on the stack, line up the edge for your size (the outer edge is Large; dashed lines mark Small and Medium), and rotary cut around it. Leave the pleat unmarked for now.
Sew the center front curve of each pair with a 1/4 inch seam, clip the curve, and press the seam to one side. Put the inside and outside units right sides together, sew both side seams, and lay a piece of elastic inside each side seam, flush with the top. Sew across the top, securing the elastic, then across the bottom, leaving an opening for turning. Turn the mask right side out and press. For a pleat, line up the side seam with the template's 1/4 inch line, mark the pleat, fold, and tack it. Top-stitch around the mask with a scant 1/4 inch seam.

Fit and Limits
The template cuts three sizes. Its suggested elastic lengths are 5 to 6 inches for small, 6 to 7 inches for medium, and 7 1/2 to 8 1/2 inches for large. The pleat is optional, and you mark it after you sew the mask. Creative Grids cautions that cloth face coverings should not go on children under 2, on anyone who has trouble breathing or is unconscious or incapacitated, or on anyone who cannot remove the mask without help.
