Description
Mark half-square triangle sewing lines on squares up to 10 inches with a 1/2 x 15 inch acrylic strip that spans the diagonal of a 10 inch precut square. A line through the five center slots gives the diagonal, and lines along both long edges give two sewing lines 1/2 inch apart.
What's Included
One 15 inch seam guide. This listing does not include fabric or a marking tool.
How to Use It
Set the guide across the square from one corner to the opposite corner. For a single diagonal, draw through the slotted center with a mechanical pencil, then sew 1/4 inch on each side of it. For the sewing lines themselves, trace both outside edges of the guide and sew on the two lines. The non-slip grip keeps the guide from shifting while you mark.
Perfect For
- Half-square triangles from 10 inch precut squares
- Squares larger than 6 1/2 inches, up to 10 inches
Fit and Limits
At 15 inches, the guide reaches across a 10 inch square from corner to corner. It carries no measurements, grid, or angle lines and does not cut or trim. Five slots run down the center with four short solid sections between them, so a line drawn through the slots has four short gaps. For squares up to 6 1/2 inches, the 9-Inch Seam Guide Tool is the shorter version.
