The Braided Twist Duet brings Cheryl Phillips' no-binding, no-quilting technique to placemat and mug rug scale with two smaller acrylic templates: the Junior and the Half Pint. Swap the painterly florals for chili pepper kitchen prints, coffee-shop novelties, watermelon, or autumn leaves and the same two templates from Phillips Fiber Art turn out a year's worth of tabletop pieces that feel custom for each season.

What You'll Need

The technique uses fusible fleece in place of traditional batting and finishes without binding or quilting. Yardage charts in the book assume 40" wide fabric and 48" wide fleece, and the suggestions are listed as conservative, so allow extra for matching prints with repeats.
